Lean Launchpad Educators

Share

Kathy Morrissey and Mary Drotar were accepted into the Lean LaunchPad Educators Seminar offered by the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance (NCIAA) and Epicenter/Stanford University. The program was designed by Steve Blank and adopted by the National Science Foundation. It is designed for entrepreneurship faculty who want to integrate Lean Startup principles into their curriculum and it utilizes a new experiential learning method called a flipped classroom.

The Lean LaunchPad is a business model development program for early stage entrepreneurs that emphasizes proposing and immediately testing hypotheses, and getting out of the classroom and talking to customers, partners and competitors. It helps entrepreneurs navigate the chaos and uncertainty of commercializing innovations and creating new ventures. Lean Launchpad methods also have application to product development within established enterprises. GE has recently implemented these lean methods into each of their four major business units.
